The purpose of this mission is to assist church members and the general public (community) with basic needs which are considered to be “hands up” in an effort to help families maintain health and well-being.

Our goal is to assist community members in need.  These needs include, but are not limited to, food, clothing, shelter, energy needs, bereavement, and medical help. In times of bereavement, a small monetary gift is given for the loss of family members. These are limited to the immediate family (i.e., mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife).  Our ministry also supports the community by donating to the food baskets that are passed out for Thanks Giving.

Thanks to the caring members of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, many have been helped in the areas of preventing evictions, power shut offs, securing shelter and also support in getting much needed medication.

Our future goal is to be able to give support to a Women’s’ or Homeless Shelter.  We will explore Women’s shelters and or Homeless shelters when considering this endeavor.

We would like to thank our members for their extraordinary support.
